FiberLoop System
The Model 550 Fiberoptic Controller is a cost effective solution for implementing a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) network. The Model 550 Controller features include:
- Self-healing and automatic re-routing of traffic in the event of fiber cuts or transceiver failures.
- Multiple Model 550 Controllers can be configured for redundancy
- Compatibility with the Model 552 fiberoptic transceiver
- Supports networks of up to 254 transceivers linked in loop or radial LANS
- Plug-in optical module options for up to 53 miles between substations
- Four DCE half duplex EIA-232 ports with alarm output available on port 4
- Smart microprocessor-based circuitry for enhanced network automation
- Built-in optical power meter, watchdog timer, and scrolling alphanumeric
display for field diagnostics
